Lights & Circuits Lesson Plan

All 3 levels$14

Why does one dead bulb sometimes darken a whole string of lights? This week your kids find out, with their own hands.

This five-day unit study gives you a ready-to-teach plan for three levels, Littles (K-3), Middles (4-6) and Bigs (7-8), for siblings or a mixed classroom. Days run Reading, Writing and Words, Science and Math, Hands-on Project, then a Friday show where your child or students switch on what they built. Littles count the lights at home and make a glowing play dough bug. Middles test conductors, meet inventor Lewis Latimer and make a light-up card. Bigs read real patents, work out what holiday lights cost to run, and wire a lit cardboard house. Every circuit is safe: AA or coin batteries, foil, LEDs and dough, never a wall outlet.

Perfect for homeschool families, multi-age classrooms and winter STEM units.
