Día de los Muertos Lesson Plan

All 3 levels$12

Marigolds, papel picado and a week of remembering with love.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican tradition where families remember the people they love with flowers, food, stories and light. In this week, kids build a family ofrenda, cut papel picado, make paper marigolds, decorate a calavera, bake pan de muerto and follow the monarch butterflies to Mexico.

Each level gets its own five-day plan: read Monday, write Tuesday, explore Wednesday, make Thursday, present Friday. A grown-up guide explains the meaning of the day and how to say each word. Warm, educational and never spooky.
