Inclusion SEL Lesson Plan

There is always room for one more, and this week every child learns to pull out the chair.

This five-day unit gives you a ready-to-teach plan for Littles (K-3), Middles (4-6) and Bigs (7-8), for siblings or a mixed classroom. Littles practice inviting a new friend to play, sign hello and friend in ASL, and tally what they share with a buddy. Middles welcome a new kid who speaks another language, survey family favorites and graph the overlaps, and learn to ask before they help. Bigs study bystanders and upstanders, write from another person's point of view, and check doorways and steps against ADA numbers with real ramp math.
